At Peace Memorial we encourage everyone to be in relationship with Christ and with one another. Sunday School is the foundation for our education program. Bible-based curriculum is taught for all ages to help teach the word of God and make it applicable to our everyday lives.

Sunday, Sept. 12, 9:00 a.m. We will gather together for 8 Sundays (9/12 – 10/31) to explore the Bible using Kerygma’s Your Bible! The Study begins. This study offers a refreshing orientation to the Bible and opens a door of understanding to all other Bible study. This study will seek to answer many of the questions that were raised during our Reading the Bible in 90 Days. How did the Bible come to be? How has the Bible been preserved and handed on? How shall we study the Bible and what is the place of the Bible in our lives? This class will meet in Multipurpose Room II.
•Youth Sunday Class LwP (Loaded with Peace) (6th grade through 12th grade), 9:15 - 10:15 a.m., meets in the 2nd floor Theater. Why should we have some understanding of how the Bible came to us? Young childrenoften think that milk comes in cartons from the grocery store. As they grow up they learn that milk comes from cows on the farm. Likewise many Christians have become so used to having Bibles that they have bought at a book store that they have almost no knowledge of where the present English translations of the Bible came from. In August the youth will grow in understanding how the Bible came to us and give them a confident foundation for our faith in the reliability the Bible.
•Children's Sunday School (ages 4 through 5th grade); Children meet on the 2nd floor following the Children's message; in our one-room schoolhouse. The children will be learning from the Live Big curriculum which is centered on Three B.I G. truths—God is a great B.I.G. God, God loves us with a great B.I.G. love, and We are part of God’s great B.I.G. world.
Wednesday, Sept. 9,
8:00 - 9:00 a.m.
Early Bird Bible study returns.
During this 10 week study, Dr. Becky will lead a study of the Letter to the Hebrews and its message to twenty first century readers [us]. The original hearers of Hebrews faced situations similar to ours. They lived in a violent world dominated by Jewish terrorist groups on the one hand and by the power of a brutal Roman military machine on the other. Their faith was shaky, they feared the worst, and they wondered if God could still save them. . .they needed to move a new message that bridged the gap between the Old Testament concepts of faith and new hope in the future through Jesus Christ [from the Introduction]. We too, are anxious people and can learn from this powerful letter so that we might hear a word of encouragement, confidence and hope. The study will use the Interpretation Series Bible Studies Guide. The guide costs $ , and can be ordered either by completing the insert or stopping by the church office. For more information, contact Dr. Becky Burton at the church or bburton@peacememorial.org.
