MUSIC IS A KEY ELEMENT OF OUR FELLOWSHIP
 

Outreach involves sharing our musical heritage with the community through the Peace Memorial Concert Series.

Music has always been a great part of our heritage at Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church. Realizing that the generosity of prior members has given us an historic building, magnificent organ and fine grand piano, Peace church members are committed to sharing our facilities, excellent acoustics and instruments with the community.

We believe that beautiful music has the capacity to heal and uplift the human spirit-- something our fractured world and individual lives need. This is not a series of sacred music. Rather, we strive to bring a wide variety of quality music for our members and guests.

By presenting music in our sanctuary, we hope to enhance downtown Clearwater as a cultural destination and to find new friends that may want to join our church family.

The Peace Memorial Concert Series 2009-10 Schedule  
We sincerely hope you enjoyed our concerts last season.  Here is the list of dates and concerts for the upcoming 2009-10 season.  Concerts are held on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 3PM unless specifically noted.  Tickets are not required.  Join us following each concert for a free reception so that you can socialize and meet the musicians.

VIVALDI’S FOUR SEASONS and GLORIA
performed by
ARC De SOLEIL

...joined by the Clearwater Bach Choir and the Peace Memorial Chancel Choir. Arc De Soleil chamber orchestra is a select group of Tampa Bay area instrumentalists that focuses their work on Baroque composers.
The Clearwater Bach Choir is comprised of some of our area’s best singers and will perform with the Peace Chancel Choir under the baton of Carol Alexander (who is the Peace Memorial Music Director and also the event creator of the Go For Baroque Festival).

This is the featured concert of the month long “Go for Baroque Festival” and the final event for the 2009-10 Peace Concert Series season. Selections will include the beloved “Four Seasons” for chamber orchestra and Vivaldi’s choral masterpiece, “Gloria” performed by chorus, soloists, and chamber orchestra.

PARKING: There are four places to park: behind the church off of Pierce;
directly east across Ft Harrison in large County lot; just north of the
fellowship hall, and west in the Clearwater City Hall lot.
