Opportunities to Worship
Service of Worship, March 9 at 10:30 a.m. 1st Sunday in Lent. Rev. Bob Scott will lead worship. Sermon Series - “Our Father, who art in heaven…” Rev. Bob Scott begins a sermon series on the “40 Days of Prayer” based on the Lord’s Prayer as taught in Matthew 6:9-13. Brief Congregational Meeting to follow worship for the purpose of changing Rev. Bob Scott from Designated to Installed Pastor.
Service of Worship, March 16 at 10:30 a.m. 2nd Sunday in Lent. Rev. Bob Scott will lead worship. Sermon Series - “Hallowed be Thy Name” Presbyterian Women Birthday Covered Dish Luncheon following worship.
Service of Worship, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. 3rd Sunday in Lent. Rev Bob Scott will lead worship. Sermon Series - “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
Service of Worship, March 30 at 10:30 a.m. 4th Sunday in Lent. Rev Bob Scott will lead worship. Sermon Series - “Give us this day our daily bread...” Please dress casually for worship. New members received. Church-wide cook-out to follow worship.

Junior Bell Rehearsal Meets Sundays at 11:45 a.m. (age 5 and up).
Handbell Choir Rehearsal on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
Chancel Choir Rehearsal on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
Warm-up on Sunday Morning at 9:45 a.m.
Concert Series, March 9 at 3:00 p.m. "Voices of Springtime" We are thrilled to have the wonderful Butler University Chorale joining our series again. Under the baton of Eric Stark these fine young vocalists will start a tour of Florida with an appearance at Peace Memorial. Reception to follow. As always, your donations of cookies and snacks are welcome!
Peace Pals, Monday, March 17. Neil Berg’s 106 years of Broadway at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Cost is $22 per person
(includes lunch). Bus will leave the church parking lot at 11:00 a.m. Sign up in the church office!
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), TWO Events this Month: Thursday, March 6 at 10:30 a.m.- A Serving of Irving . Thursday, March 27 at 10:30 a.m.- Joseph Pulitzer: His Life and Legacy (Riet Van der Pol).
More Than a Meal, Wednesday, March 26 at 5:30 p.m. A community program designed to help educate ourselves on topics of interest and concern. Topic this month will be redevelopment of downtown Clearwater. Everyone is invited. No charge. Light-dinner served. Childcare will be provided. (Jennifer Munro-Golliher)
Peace Lunch Bunch, Thursday, March 27 at 12:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome! Enjoy a “Dutch Treat” lunch with your friends at Lenny’s - 21220 U.S. 19 North, Clearwater. Sign up in Roebling Hall. (Merry June Burwell)
All Church Family Retreat at Cedarkirk, March 28-29. A community building experience that offers time away and time to get to know God and one another in new and significant ways. The natural beauty of our Presbytery's facility supports and enhances our time together. AND think: campfires, great home cooked meals, killer kickball games, the wonderful music of the river and (of course!) s'mores. All ages welcome. Sign up in Roebling Hall to secure your spot.
Church-wide Picnic, Sunday, March 30 following worship. Our annual church-wide cookout to celebrate our Winter Visitors and New Members. Come eat burgers and hotdogs! Bounce House for kiddos. Dress Casually!
Opportunities To Serve
Peace Café, Thursday Evenings. Consider volunteering with this outreach program that feeds the local hungry a warm meal. Servers needed the first three Thursdays of the month. (Bill Trautwein, 727.463.6916)
RCS Food Bank. Continue to drop off your donations of non-perishable food items in any of the baskets located throughout the church. Everyday household items and toiletries are also accepted as donations. Remember to shop the “Buy One Get One Free” sales for RCS!
Pack-a-Sack, every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Pack-a-Sack provides backpacks of food for the weekend to children who qualify for free lunches. We need your help with donations and in preparing the backpacks of food every Wednesday (Carlos Rodriquez).
Prayer Shawl Knitting Group, Thursday, March 27at 9:30 a.m. Interested in learning to knit? Join the women in the Magnolia Room to knit items such as hats, scarves, gloves, prayer shawl and blankets. (Jan Francis)
Opportunities to Grow
Men’s Bible Study, Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. Men’s small group study on Ephesians. (Dan Johnson).
Early Bird Bible Study, Wednesday mornings at 8:00 a.m. Pastor-led study on the psalms. Breakfast at Country Harvest follows. (Frank Wolling)
Sisters’ Bible Study, every other Wednesday, March 12 and March 26 at 6:30 p.m. Women’s small group study on Philip Yancey’s “Prayer—Does it Make Any Difference?” (Lynn Maloney)
Children’s Enrichment. Children (age– 4 and up) gather following the Children’s Message to enrich their worship experience in ways that are meaningful to this particular age group. (Kelly Fitzgerald)
Nursery Storytellers. Share a few minutes of your time on Sunday morning as worship begins to read a story to our youngest disciples in the nursery. (Scarlett Meyer coordinates readers)
Sunday School for All. Classes begin around 9:00 a.m.
Adult Forum— Bible-based class with focused studies on Nehemiah and Ezra.
Coffee and Discussion—Simple Bible study on Mark over a second cup of coffee (upstairs classroom).
Children and Youth — “I Know My Bible” meets in the Youth Room (upstairs).
Nursery Care—for our youngest disciples.
Presbyterian Women. Coordinating Team meets on Tuesday, March 4 at 9:30 a.m. (Dorris Folwell).
Martha Circle March 11 at 10:00 a.m. in Magnolia Room.
Catherine Circle March 11 at 5:30 p.m.
Inquirer Class, March 16 & 23, following worship. Know someone who is interested in learning more about our church and what it means to be Presbyterian? Invite them to participate in this class led by Rev. Bob Scott and members of the Outreach Council. Those interested in joining the church will be received in worship on March 30.
