Opportunities to Worship

Mid-Day Prayer Service - Thursday, April 3 at 12:15 p.m. Come spend time in prayer for one another, for our Church, and for the needs in the community.
 
Service of Worship - April 6 at 10:30 a.m. 5th Sunday in Lent. Rev. Bob Scott will lead worship. Communion will be celebrated with full liturgy!
 
Mid-Day Prayer Service - Thursday, April 10 at 12:15 p.m. 
 
Service of Worship - April 13 at 10:30 a.m. Passion/Palm Sunday. Rev. Bob Scott will lead worship.
 
Mid-Day Prayer Service - Thursday, April 17 at 12:15 p.m. 
 
Maundy Thursday Meal and Service - April 17 at 6:00 p.m. in Roebling Hall. Please sign up for dinner in Roebling Hall or call the church office. Children are encouraged to participate.
 
Good Friday Service - April 18 at 12 noon.
 
Easter Sunday - April 20.
Dunseith Garden Communion Service at 8:00 a.m.
Easter Workshop and Egg Hunt beginning at 9:00 a.m. Please bring a dozen stuffed eggs to share. There will be activities and breakfast for the family while the eggs are hidden in the garden. Hunt will begin at 9:45 a.m.
Celebrate the Risen Lord in Worship at 10:30 a.m.
 
Service of Worship - April 27 at 10:30 a.m. 2nd Sunday of Easter. Bright Sunday Service. We continue to celebrate the promise of the Resurrection with prayers, special music and a release of butterflies. Rev Bob Scott will lead worship. Lectionary Text: Acts 2:14a, 22-32; Psalm 16; 1 Peter 1:3-9; John 20:19-31.

          Junior Bell Rehearsal          Meets Sundays at 11:45 a.m. (age 5 and up).
          Handbell Choir                    Rehearsal on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
          Chancel Choir                      Rehearsal on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
                                                       Warm-up on Sunday Morning at 9:45 a.m.
 
Peace Work Day - Saturday, April 5 at 9:30 a.m. Please save the date on your calendar. There is plenty of work for all ages and abilities. We will finish up around 12:30 p.m.  
 
Presbyterian Women Bake Sale - April 6 before and after worship. Tasty cakes, pies, cookies and more need a good home!
 
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) - Thursday, April 10 at 10:30 a.m. Ladies of Supreme Court. (Riet Van der Pol)
 
Concert Series - Sunday, April 13 at 3:00 p.m. “Faure’ Requiem” For the final concert of the Peace Memorial Concert Series this season, you will hear Faure’s masterpiece oratorio with chamber orchestra and organ. Reception to follow. As always, your donations of cookies and snacks are welcome!
 
More Than a Meal - Wednesday, April 30 at 5:30 p.m. A community program designed to help educate ourselves on topics of interest and concern. Topic this month will be Advanced Care Planning. Everyone is invited. No charge. Light-dinner served. Childcare will be provided. (Jennifer Munro-Golliher)
 
 

Opportunities To Serve   

Peace Café, Thursday Evenings.   Consider volunteering with this outreach program that feeds the local hungry a warm meal.  Servers needed the first three Thursdays of the month. (Bill Trautwein, 727.463.6916)
 
RCS Food Bank. Continue to drop off your donations of non-perishable food items in any of the baskets located throughout the church. Everyday household items and toiletries are also accepted as donations. Remember to shop the “Buy One Get One Free” sales for RCS!
 
Container to Honduras. During the month of April and the first 2 weeks of May The International Mission Partnership Committee plans to send a container to Honduras. A list of items needed and donation bins may be found in Roebling Hall. (Carlos Rodriquez).
 
Pack-a-Sack - every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Pack-a-Sack provides backpacks of food for the weekend to children who qualify for free lunches. We need your help with donations and in preparing the backpacks of food every Wednesday (Carlos Rodriquez).
 
One Great Hour of Sharing Special Offering - Collected Sunday, April 20. Since 1949, Presbyterians have joined with millions of other Christian through “One Great Hour of Sharing”. Your gift will support denominational ministries of disaster response. Thank you for your generosity.
 
Prayer Shawl Knitting Group - Thursday, April 24 at 9:30 a.m. Interested in learning to knit? Join the women in the Magnolia Room to knit items such as hats, scarves, gloves, prayer shawls and blankets. (Jan Francis)
  
 

Opportunities to Grow   

Men’s Bible Study - Saturdays at 8:30 a.m.  Men’s small group study on Ephesians. (Dan Johnson).
 
Early Bird Bible Study - Wednesday mornings at 8:00 a.m. Pastor-led study on the psalms.  Breakfast at Country Harvest follows.
 
Sisters’ Bible Study - every other Wednesday, April 9 and April 23 at 6:30 p.m. Women’s small group study on Philip Yancey’s “Prayer—Does it Make Any Difference?” (Lynn Maloney)
 
Children’s Enrichment. Children (age–4 and up) gather following the Children’s Message to enrich their worship experience in ways that are meaningful to this particular age group. (Kelly Fitzgerald)
 
Nursery Storytellers. Share a few minutes of your time on Sunday morning as worship begins to read a story to our youngest disciples in the nursery. (Scarlett Meyer coordinates readers)
 
Sunday School for All. Classes begin around 9:00 a.m.
Adult Forum— Bible-based class with focused studies on Romans.
Coffee and Discussion—Bible study on Mark over a second cup of coffee. 
Children and Youth- “I Know My Bible” Study upstairs in the youth room.
Nursery Care—professional care for our youngest disciples.
 
Mid-High Mid-Week - every Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. Middle School program meets at Trinity Presbyterian (2001 Rainbow Rd.) for a time of play, prayer, chicken nuggets and reflection. Bus picks up at Clearwater Fundamental at 2:50 p.m. Program concludes at 5:00 p.m.
 
Presbyterian Women. Coordinating Team meets on Tuesday, April 1 at 9:30 a.m. (Dorris Folwell).
Martha Circle April 8 at 10:00 a.m. in Magnolia Room. 
Catherine Circle April 8 at 5:30 p.m.
