Opportunities to Worship
Service of Worship, May 5 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Bob Scott will lead worship. Lectionary Text: Acts 16:9-15; Psalm 67; Revelations 21:10, 21:22-22:5; John 14:23-29 or John 5:1-9. Communion will be served.
Service of Worship, May 12 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Bob Scott will lead worship. Lectionary Text: Acts 16:16-34; Psalm 97; Revelations 22:12-14, 16-17, 20-21; John 17:20-26. Presbyterian Women will present a Honorary life Membership to a special woman within our congregation.
Service of Worship, May 19 at 10:30 a.m. Day of Pentecost. New Members Received. Rev. Bob Scott will lead worship. Lectionary Text: Acts 2:1-21 or Genesis 11:1-9; Psalm 104:24-34, 35b; Romans 8:14-17 or Acts 2:1-21; John 14:8-17 (25-27). Children’s Choir will sing. Don’t forget to wear red!
Service of Worship, May 26 at 10:30 a.m. Trinity Sunday. Rev. Bob Scott will lead worship. Lectionary Text: Proverbs 8:1-4, 22-31; Psalm 8; Romans 5:1-5; John 16:12-15.

Children’s Choir Meets Sundays at 11:45 a.m. (age 5 and up) Last rehearsal 5/12 - break for summer.
Handbell Choir Rehearsal on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. Last rehearsal 5/30 - break for summer.
Chancel Choir Rehearsal on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Last rehearsal 5/12 - break for summer.
Warm-up on Sunday Morning at 9:30 a.m.
Bread Breakers. Bread Breakers is sharing God’s love through a common meal, just as was done in the early churches. Be sure to schedule a meal with your small group this month!
Church Women United, Friday, May 3 at 5:30 p.m. Program in Roebling Hall. All women are invited (Fay Wolling).
Inquirer Class, May 5 & 12, following worship. Know someone who is interested in learning more about our church and what it means to be Presbyterian? Invite them to participate in this class led by Rev. Bob Scott and members of the Outreach Council. Those interested in joining the church will be received in worship on May 19.
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), Thursday, May 9 at 10:30 a.m. To Broadway With Love: The Show Music of Bock & Harnick . This talented team created such classics as Fiorello!, She Loves Me and Fiddler on the roof. We will highlight their careers with stories, videos and recordings.
Presbyterian Women Honorary Life Membership and Bake Sale, Sunday, May 12, following worship. An Honorary Life Membership in Presbyterian Women is conferred upon an individual in recognition of faithful service in some area of church work. Presbyterian Women will recognize a special person for her service to the community and church during worship. Bake Sale during Fellowship to support Presbyterian Women Missions.
Peace Pals Trip, Friday, May 17. Lunch Cruise at Starlight Majesty on Clearwater Beach. Save the date for Movie Night on June 20! Start with dinner at O’Keefe’s at 5 pm and return for a viewing of ‘Sister Act’ in our Movie Room!
Spiritual Gifts Expo, Pentecost Sunday, May 19. Have you been gifted by the spirit with a talent for artistic expression? If so we would like you to share your gift of the spirit with the congregation on May 19 following worship. Bring in photos, paintings, and other arts and crafts to share. Perhaps baking is your talent - bring a dish to share! Perhaps you would like to share a song on the piano or sing a solo! Email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange to share your gifts today!
Opportunities To Serve
Peace Café, Thursday Evenings. Outreach program that feeds the local hungry a warm meal. Servers needed the first three Thursdays of the month. (Bill Trautwein, 727.463.6916)
Pack-a-Sack, every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Pack-a-Sack provides backpacks of food for the weekend to children who qualify for free lunches. We need your help preparing the backpacks of food every Wednesday. (Carlos Rodriquez)
RCS Food Bank. Drop off your donations of non-perishable food items in any of the baskets located throughout the church. Everyday household items and toiletries are also accepted as donations. Remember to shop the “Buy One Get One Free” sales for RCS!
Service Day/Knitting, Thursday, May 23 at 9:30 a.m. Interested in learning knit? Join the women in the Magnolia Room to knit items for the homeless such as hats, scarves, gloves, prayer shawl and blankets. (Jan Francis)

Men’s Bible Study, Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. (Dan Johnson)
Early Bird Bible Study, Wednesdays at 8:00 a.m. Rev. Bob Scott will lead the Bible Study on the Book of Acts through Wednesday, May 29. This group will break for the summer and will resume on Wednesday, September 11. Breakfast at Country Harvest follows. (Frank Wolling)
Children’s Enrichment. Children (4 through 12-years old) gather upstairs following the Children’s Message to enrich their worship experience in ways that are meaningful to this particular age group. (Kelly Fitzgerald)
Music, Arts, and Drama Camp dates set! Monday, August 12– Friday, August 16, presentation of program on Saturday, August 17. Extended Care will be provided. Volunteers are needed! Keep an eye out for registration materials.
Presbyterian Women. Coordinating Team meets on May 7 at 9:30 a.m. (Dorris Folwell).
Combined Meeting. Martha and Catherine Circles, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. in Magnolia Room for Lesson 9 . Lunch will follow at Belleair Towers.
Artist Workshop “Spirit”, Saturday May 18 at 9:00 am. This isn’t craft time… it’s worship! We’ll open with prayer and read scripture. Art supplies will be set up and when you are struck with an idea or image… begin creating! We’ll play music and help each other through our art project. Then we’ll come back together and talk about our creations. Art will be displayed during the Spiritual Gift Expo following worship on May 19.

Summer Church Hours begin the week of May 27. Church Office is open Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Office is officially closed on Friday, but pastoral staff is still available. Please use cell phone numbers to contact staff.
