Welcome to Peace Memorial’s website

We hope, as you venture through this site, you will get a flavor for who we are as a congregation and our commitment to serving Jesus Christ in our community and world.

We’ve been in Clearwater, Florida for a long time (since 1891). We’re traditional, but not stuffy. While our Sunday worship is structured, we’re not formal. We sing familiar hymns along with new songs, we listen to jazz renditions of sacred music or are led by our children’s choir and by our Chancel choir (yes, we do a little Bach from time to time). We read lots of Scripture, respond to God’s amazing grace in prayer and responsive readings, and hear the Word of God proclaimed.

The power of the Holy Spirit lives through our worship on Sundays and at special times: as we study God’s Word in small groups, as we gather together to break bread to become friends in Christ, and as we serve the poor who live outside our doorstep. Committed to being Christ’s face in the world, we are always seeking God’s will for our lives, whether it’s launching a new ministry or teaching the faith to our youngest ones.
