WORK AND WORKERS
Artists throughout history have provided us with images of work and workers.
Art provides us with portraits of proud workers emphasizing their trade, or
paintings that show them diligently working at their tasks. This seminar will
examine images of work and workers chronologically, and will highlight socio-cultural
shifts that capture altered perceptions of work.
