Presbyterian Women

What is Presbyterian Women?

Presbyterian Women (PW) is an independent organization within the Presbyterian Church (USA) of more than 300,000 women.  For over 200 years, Presbyterian women have organized themselves to support mission and combat social injustices nationally and internationally.

PW at Peace Memorial exists to nurture faith, build community, affirm women's call to leadership, raise concerns and channel information to and from Presbyterian Women in the Presbytery.

PW at Peace Memorial:

  • Meets in small groups called "Circles" where faith is nurtured and growth takes place through worship, study, prayer, friendship and outreach;
  • Selects its own leadership - the Presbyterian Women Coordination Team;
  • Determines its own budget;
  • Plans and implements yearly fundraisers which include Bake Sales and Birthday Offering Luncheon;
  • Supports the mission of the PC(USA) world wide through education and financial gifts.
